Notes on the Michigan 72nd

Ken Yonker

Ken Yonker’s roots are right here in Caledonia. He grew up here, graduated from South Christian High School, and then went on to graduate from Michigan State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the Institute of Agricultural Technology.

As a proud MSU graduate, Ken went to work in management for one of West Michigan’s largest and most respected construction companies.  Five years later,  he struck out on his own to form Yonker’s Landscaping, Inc. As a successful small businessman, Ken has been a state leader for his industry, serving on the State Board of Directors, and its legislative committee.

In 2002, the voters of Caledonia called on Ken to serve on the board for the gold medal winning, nationally recognized, Caledonia Public Schools.

In short, real world experience.

For over 23 years Ken has met payroll, served customers, and created jobs in Michigan. He knows how government regulation and overbearing red-tape can strangle small business and stop opportunity. Ken Yonker brings firm, conservative principles wedded to real world experience. He believes real leadership  doesn’t condone the old political games being played in Lansing. Now is the time to shape  a New Michigan.
